The project is inspired by the sun, as a symbol of strength and energy, and its cyclical nature in our lives.

A show of movement and energy that involvesdifferent readings, but which fundamentally asks the audience’s gaze to participate on a sensory level, trying to bring back to a primordial level the relationship between the audience and the performance and to a simple re-definition of what is dance.

This work wishes to develop a language and a physical mechanism of repetition, accumulation and variations creating a dance that is written but always unexpected.

The score of Appunti per il sole stems from an attempt to apply to the sound matter the concept of solar vibration/pulsation in continuous growth and maintain a strong relationship with the dancers’ bodies, borrowing and amplifying their rhythms and counter-times. The result is a dizzying musical structure, consisting of cycles with speed and intensity in continuous progression interspersed with moments of sudden suspension.
